MCC Seeks Foster Parents

The history of education services at MCC began with the formation of the organization. MCC was founded so that both mental health professionals and the Gay and Lesbian mental health consumers who sought their services would learn that being Gay or Lesbian was not a mental illness that needed to be cured.
Within
four years of MCC's beginnings, AIDS appeared on the public health radar
screen. Since then, MCC has educated our clients, health care providers,
public officials, and the community-at-large about the facts and myths
of HIV and AIDS.
Similarly, MCC has always provided education about chemical dependency
and substance abuse. Our education programs on this subject continue to focus
on the special circumstances and issues which need to be addressed for
Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender people who use and abuse drugs
and alcohol.
MCC offers Continuing Education Units for LCDC's, LBSW's, LMSW's, LCSW's and LPC's.
