GLSH is a switchboard and hotline that is staffed by a volunteer 24-hours a day. Referrals to community resources and access to emergency domestic violence and sexual assault services are offered.

THRF founded in 1977 as a vehicle to directly challenge the newly enacted §21.06 of the Texas Penal Code which criminalized homosexual behavior while freeing heterosexual couples to engage in the very same behavior. It is the oldest gay-rights advocacy organization in continuous operation in Texas.
